Powered rails minecraft xbox 3603/26/2023 but haven't put it into actual practice yet. I'm thinking of something that can be done with that. and the Sticky Pistons will actually retract tracks, without any problems. you can actually just use a Piston (Sticky or otherwise) to move the rail tracks. I did play around with it a tiny bit last night. but haven't put it into actual practice yet.Īnd, as you suggested, rails can be moved around by Pistons, on the 360 version, too. might try build it tomorrow and see hat i come up with but i actually think that would be cooler even if i did think of an easier wayI did play around with it a tiny bit last night. might try build it tomorrow and see hat i come up with but i actually think that would be cooler even if i did think of an easier way Now thats the hard part because when it closes you want a piston outside pushing it back in really and the only thing i can think of for it is having a secret trapdoor open up next to the track, push a pistn up out of it which pushes the track back into the door then lowers back into teh ground and covers itself back up Then time it so that a set of pistons push the track into place times with repeaters just after it opened. Then have your standard minecraft piston door as the entrance, probable a 1x1x2 one since you want it to be an odd number for aesthetic purposes and thats the easier of the odd sized ones:P Just quickly thinking about it what i would do would be have 2 detector rails, one on each side of the door make them into toggle switches like when you wanna use a button instead of a leaver to have something stay open then connect them both with a T flip flop so that one opens the gate and one closes it as that solves the timing issue Yeah pretty much, the hard part is just having other pistons pulling and pushing them into place to actually hide the shaft and then of course timing the whole thing with repeaters I've already got a few ideas for a "100% hidden mineshaft" system in my head, and hope that it'll work based on the concept I ~think~ you're using. basically, have a Piston shove a Block, which will push the track into position? I'll have to play around with this, later tonight, when I've got a chance. other than that, they're kind of pointless. never letting you also go forward on that same branch).īut. You can also use them to trigger a "Rail Toggle", to change the direction you're going (which is kind of limited, since T-Rails only go into one of two directions. Though, most people just use them for one-block wide tracks, to provide power to their Powered Rails, so they don't have to add a Redstone Torch under/to the side of the track (usually used for "Sky Tracks", since you don't have much wiggle room in the first place, if you want it to look nice). and clever people can use them to trigger an entry way into a secret base (though that's hard to do, considering how fast people travel on Minecarts, as well as getting the timing down from the point of trigger, to the activation of the Pistons to open your walls up). Detector Rails can be used to make Note Blocks chime (to indicate arrival at a station). The basic mechanics and most crafting recipes are the same in the scaled-down Pocket/10 edition or console ports.I was wondering if there are any cool things that can be done with a detector rail (if I have the name right). That's why we have such mundane and ridiculously silly how-to Guides, users have a tendency to literary type in "How to X" in Google instead of spending three seconds to figure it out for themselves, and by using that as an article title you have a perfect match for those terms.Īlthough I gotta admit that the guides are pretty well done (good in-depth, small detailed steps and plenty of screenshots), I do think it is a waste of the authors time since Minecraft has been documented to death by countless specialized websites in the seven years the game has been available. Once in, the users can be served with quite a disturbingly large amount of ads and hidden social media trackers. It is in fact the opposite this site uses popular stuff like WhatsApp and Minecraft to reel in new users via Google searchterms and increase its PageRank for those popular subjects. WhatsApp gets plenty of attention on its own and doesn't need this site. I don't think the WhatsApp articles were sponsored.
